Octomore 14.1 700ml 59.6%

It’s the time of year for new Octomores, the ultra-peated annual whisky from Islay’s Bruichladdich. Now in its 14th instalment, the whisky comes in the usual three offerings. 14.1 was distilled in 2017 from a 2016 harvest of Scottish grown Concerto barley, malted to 128.9 ppm and aged for five years in first-fill ex-Bourbon casks before bottling at 59.6% Alc./Vol. Judging by the reviews below, this looks to be one of the better Octomores of recent times.
