Old Kempton Solera 49% 500ml
Old Kempton Distilleryâs Solera Single Malt is the first whisky of its kind in Tasmania. Compatible 20L barrels, made up of Ex Port, Sherry and Muscat barrels, are decanted into our 500L Portuguese Port Barrel. The 500L barrel is then left to age for 6 to 8 months before having half the contents decanted and bought down to 49%. The barrel is refilled and the whole process starts again. Each Solera batch/release is unique and complex, it creates a journey of the senses with each mouthful. All our whisky is made using Tasmanian barley and Tasmanian water.
