The Solist Vinho Barrique whiskies from King Car's Kavalan range are always impressive expressions. These Taiwanese single malts are matured in casks that have held red and white wine, which are re-toasted before being filled with the fabulous whisky. Expect big, bold, full-bodied flavours here, folks.
Nose - Vanilla and caramelised sugars with dark chocolate on top. Ripe melon and mango.
Palate - Kiwi and a delicate blend of citrus fruits burst. Pepper is also present in the background waiting to be noticed.
Finish - Clean and complex hints of chocolate and ripe fruit.
